Financial Hardship Policy

We understand that sometimes unforseen events can affect the ability of customers to pay their bills. Technocash has a Financial Hardship Policy for the benefit of customers who are experiencing financial hardship. We are dedicated to providing, free of charge, options for managing financial hardship that are sufficiently flexible to accommodate the circumstances of individual customers.

Financial hardship involves an inability, rather than an unwillingness, to pay invoices or bills. It can result from a number of unforseen circumstances that lead to temporary complications in satisfying financial commitments, such as: loss of employment; family breakdown; or illness or death of a family member.

There are a number of ways in which we can provide assistance to customers experiencing financial hardship. Some ways we can assist include:

  • Entering into an alternative payment arrangement;
  • Temporarily restricting access to certain services;
  • Postponing cancellation of services;
  • Referring customers to a community financial counsellor;
  • Delaying reporting customer details to a credit reporting agency or listing personal details on a credit database, which would make it difficult for the customer to obtain credit in the future.

We will always consider a customer's eligibility for assistance under our Financial Hardship Policy upon request.
